IKAT Sarees of India 2012 Exhibition Kicked-off at New marketing hall, Tilak road, Abids. Exhibiting Exclusive, Hand made Bed & Home Linen, Dress Materials, Silk & Cotton Saris in exquisite designs & Contemporary colors by famous designers, Skillfully created by famous Weavers of India. weavers designed collections from Rajkot (Gujarat), Sambalpur (Orissa) Pochampally (Andhra Pradesh) .The exhibition will be on till 17th December 2012.

K.Devender, Chairman of Pochampally Handloom park’ Said ‘The beauty of ikat lies in the unpredictability of texture of the fabric , using the latest techniques. ‘products ranging from home textile to apparel fabrics, stoles, scarves, and sarees in silk, cotton and engineered blends’ he added.

“In this Exhibition we are showcasing many types of variety sarees those can mesmerize and also traditional” Park Director Damoder said. ’ikat is a textile technique in which patterns are achieved by tying and dying the yarn prior to weaving, this unique process gives ikat fabrics their distinct feathered identity’ he explained.
