Hyderabad 20th January 2013 - Paigham e - Mohabbat brought sufi ghazals and compositions to Hyderabad’s discerning audience for the third time. The first play witnessed late Jagjit Singh with Gulzar Saheb, while Abida Parveen enthralled the audience with sufi compositions of Muzaffar Ali. This year the series performs a hat-trick with Ghazal Maestro Ghulam Ali Khan Sahab’s Ghazal and Thumri raptures. The event was attended by prominent people from the city who was left spellbound by the melodious voice of Ustad Ghulam Ali Khan. The event was also organised to spread the message of love & peace to all concerned.

Ustad Ghulam Ali Khan is considered as one of the best ghazal singers of his era. His style and variations in singing Ghazals has been noted as unique, as he blended Hindustani classical music with ghazals, unlike any other Ghazal singer. His famous ghazals Chupke Chupke Raat Din, Kal chaudvi ki Raat, Hungama hai kyun berpa, Kiya hai pyar jis, May nazar s pee rahahoon, Mastana peey, Ye dil ye pagal dil, Apni dhoon mein are melodious, hummable and have become legendary hits. Music lovers of Hyderabad have had a long wait of 6 years to listen to Ghulam Ali khan sahab when he last performed.
