Diksha Panth launches National Silk and Cotton Expo, Hyderabad

Poorvi arts and crafts organised National silk and cotton expo 2013 at T.T.D Kalyana mandapam, Near Liberty House, Himayath Nagar, Hyderabad. Expo will be continued upto 24th March 2013. Tollywoods Actress, Diksha Panth (Harmones Movie Fame) was inaugurated this expo by lighting the lamp. `The heat is on and it’s time to switch over to cool silk and cotton fabric that allows your skin to breathe’ said actress Diksha.

Mr. Ashish Kumar Gupta, organizer informed, the traditional Indian artistry is dying due to modernization, our aim is to promote best artisans by putting up Exhibition, through such events more than 10 thousand artisans families get benefited every year. The artisans from different states are going to showcase their art & sculpture ‘said.

`weavers and artisans are showcasing their silk and cotton products in the expo from various states of India. A wide range of saris, duppata, salwar suits and stoles in vibrant colours are available at attractive prices. Here you can find Chirala, Mangalgiri, Kalamkari, Gadwal and Cotton Khadi sarees from Andhra Pradesh along with Kanjeevaram and Opada from Karnataka’ he added.

The exhibition offers the best silk and cotton products made by the best artisans of across the country. The signature contemporary styling by the weavers from all over India, who are showcasing their work, have given the ethnic India apparels a modern twist. Apart from luxe fabrics, intricate embroideries and stunning colours, the expo features sheer fabrics such as chanderi, cotton and silk – all with a magical use of intricate karigari.

The entire range of sarees and dress materials is striking as well graceful with bunch of bandhej, bandhni silks saree, jaipur kurti, block prints, kota doria from Rajasthan along with tanchoi, banarasi jamdani, jamavar, lakhnavi chikan from Uttar Pradesh. Assam’s Muga silk to Madhya Pradesh’s Chanderi silk and Andhra Pradesh’s Gadwal, Pochampally and Dharmavaram along with Chhattisgarh’s Kosa silk and silk from Varanasi, you can find them all at the exhibition. Tussar and matka silk from Bihar, embroidered silk sarees, pashmina shawls of Jammu & Kashmir are also available.
