When man discovered knowledge, he also discovered clothes. Then he was forced to call it sin. Clothes reveal as much as they hide, they make us the people we are, perhaps more importantly the people we want to be.

Shruti Chopra's remarkable vision and creativity showcasing her ingenious fashion as work of art. She has always emphasized the importance of imagination and free expression. "For me creativity is not just virtual, it is something visual which I can present to the world"- Shruti Chopra.

She says –" My collections have always represented the person I am, the way I think about life and the way I was bought up to think about life.. I need something to fuel my imagination. And designing is something that spur's me on and makes me excited about what I am doing."

Shruti Chopra has dreamt of being a Fashion Designer since she was in the 7th grade and it's taken her 11 years to get here. She has graduated from Istituto Europeo di Design, Milan, Italy in Fashion and Textile Design. After returning to India she shifted her base for 2 years to Mumbai – the city which never sleeps, where she worked under Babita Malkani and later on in brand called Chemistry as an assistant designer. Then she decided to come back to her hometown Hyderabad and start her company SNS DESIGN STUDIO under which there are 2 labels a western wear line – SELVAGGIO MODA and ethnic Indian wear SHRUTI CHOPRA.

Selvaggio Moda means wild fashion, taking a step towards craziness and thinking beyond a point of view, Obsessed with the beauty of music and its ability to inspire. Influenced by different eras.

The choice of clothing is perhaps the single most obvious reflection of a person's identity and culture. Fashion has been extremely influential in its reach. It has created an aspiration for luxury goods with a predominant Euro-American culture, In India. we still can see that fashion choices are dictated, not by luxury branding but largely by a person's personal and social identity, marital status. occupation and sometimes even religious beliefs.
The study of India's myriad ways of dressing and use of its textures, ornamentation and textiles mirror the country's complex history and tradition.

The flavour of India costume is sensed through its unstitehed clothing—the sari, the odhni and their movement, drape and detail, Nowhere in the world is there a fashion alternative which constantly reinvents itself as it drapes over the head, the shoulder or around the ankles or by the detail of weave or embroidery, colour or pattern of fabric. The smallest detail, such as the fine edging of the dupatta or Ohaghara. is conceived of and revealed in a most exciting manner.
