ROOTS welcomes Freshers with ‘Aamantran 2013’
Mock Fashion Show Steals the Limelight at the Freshers’ Party
Hyderabad, September 11... ROOTS, a city based International School of Business & Management organised various programs on the occasion of Freshers' Party — Aamantran 2013 here in a city hotel today. The theme of the party “Global Desi aptly described the young generation today - Global in Outlook but Desi at Heart About Two hundred plus students, faculty and staff of the colleges participated in the party
Speaking on the occasion Prof B P Padala. Chairman of Roots said, the Freshers’ party provides a fun and friendly atmosphere to foster relationship between the seniors and juniors. The new comers also get to know about the adopted culture of the institution of which they are a part now after. He appreciated the efforts put in by the students to put up a good show at Aamantran 2013.
"ROOTS” is just not an educational institution, but a conceptual education with major focus on offering careers along with qualifications, Prof Padala said
The day was marked with dance performances on popular Bollywood numbers by Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) and BA Mass Com Second and Third year students, Skits, Ramp Walk and other programs.
Boys and Girls dressed up as puppets sent out a social message on how important it was to not make a mountain out of a mole hill and fight on small issues.
Girl students from ROOTS, wowed the gathering in a Fashion Show ‘Day and Night’. Dressed in black and white, they portrayed the moods of the day and night in this thematic fashion show.
Not to be left behind were the boys with their Mock Fashion Show. The highlight of the day, the Mock Fashion Show was an unusual fashion show mocking the traditional fashion shows. It was a fanciful fun fashion show with students dressing in some very unorthodox clothing. The Mock Fashion Show had the audience roaring in laughter with the students presenting each style of clothing. A student presenting T-Shirt stunning had on a Tea-Shirt with loads of Tea-bags. Another showcasing the Bell- Bottoms had real huge bells on him. Hot pants a boy wearing pants with red chillies on it portraying ‘Hot Pants’. The 15-minute presented a fresh look at the world of fashion and provided a bellyful of laughs.
The shows were conceptualized and choreographed by the Dean of Roots Ms Monisha Anand.
Winners of different Titles viz., Mr. Fresher Roots 2013, Miss Fresher Roots 2013, Mr. Charming Roots 2013, Miss Charming Roots 2013, Best Dressed Male Roots 2013, Best Dressed Female Roots 2013, etc. were announced.
Decked up for the party, the young brigade of new entrants were all excited and had a blast with a DJ belting out a mix of popular chartbusters at the Freshers’ Party which continued till evening.
