Classical dance has for all time been related to Indian culture and heritage. Bhavana Gowri has excelled in the art of Bharatnatyam performance. Bhavana Gowri, a disciple of Guru, Smt. Rajeswari Sainath of national and international fame, of "Sruthilaya Kendra Natarajaalaya" school of dance.
Bhavana Gowri, blessed with a natural talent for dance in its various forms and movements is here to give her "Arangetram" on 6th of March 2014, 6.30pm, at Ravindra Bharati, Hyderabad.
Her Guru Smt. Rajeswari Sainath, feels very happy to introduce Bhavana, whom she puts on a high pedestal talking of her zestful movements, expressive style and abhinaya, as a very “eloquent dancer".
Bhavana Gowri has been a part of several Dance productions by her Guru at Chennai, the ‘Heaven’ of Bharathanatyam in India. She has performed at "Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan", "Thyaga Bhrama Gaana Sabha" in Chennai and in the "Indian Dance Festival", Mahabalipuram. She has donned important roles in theme based ballets such as "Lalitha Vaibhavam", "Krishna Darsha", "Neuro biology of dance", Thyagaraja's Pancharatna festival to name a few.
Bhavana Gowri is currently pursuing a P.G. Diploma in Human Resouce Management and a Masters in psychology from University of Madras.
Bhavana took this opportunity to thank Prof. Prabin Villareesh HOD of performing arts, Christ University, for placing her in a dynamic environment and teaching her different forms of dance.
With the aim of establishing a one of a kind Performing Arts Institute, Bhavana always wanted to excel in various dance forms and become a choreographer of diverse styles. She also wants to practice dance as a therapeutic science to help those who would benefit by it.
Today, "I feel a great sense of gratitude towards my teacher and guru, Smt. Rajeswari Sainath and would like to thank her profusely from the bottom of my heart" as told to the press.
