Upasana Kamineni launches Prayas NGO in Hyderabad

Ms Upasana Kamineni launched 'Prayas' - an NGO initiative of young entrepreneurs, to bring cheer in the lives of under privileged!

Hyderabad, September 1st, 2015: Ms Upasana Kamineni formally launched 'Prayas' - an NGO initiative of young entrepreneurs, to bring cheer in the lives of under privileged, on Tuesday at Soda Bottle Opener Unit 4, Jubilee Hills. Present on the occasion were Karishma Jain, President; Shaaz Mehmood, Vice President; Namit Naren Jain, General Secretary; Ankit Agarwal, Joint Secretary & Preethi Jain, Treasurer, PRAYAS. Prayas is organizing a fund raising live ghazal show by "Pankaj Udhas" on 5th September. The proceeds of this fundraiser will be donated to the School for visually challenged - Durgabhai Deskmukh Vocational Training Rehabilitation Center for Handicapped, Vidyanagar and GHS Blind girls school, Malakpet.

Prayas - Born out of the compassion and commitment of noble hearts to give back to the society, to share responsibility with a vision to see a better society and to add smiles on the faces of deprived and under privileged.

A group of young entrepreneurs have come together for a noble cause. They have formed a charitable organization and their vision is to help any needy person and help raise the standard of living in the society. Prayas is a versatile organization where aid is provided in every form and to every part of the society: be in educational help; employment opportunities; health care; social and economic welfare and development.

Prayas is organizing a fund raising event on 5th September at Cybercity Convention center, Hyderabad. The event features a live ghazal concert where the guest artist is the famous " Pankaj Udhas". The proceeds of this fundraiser will be donated to a SchooL for, die Visually Challenged, which is Duraabhai Deskmokh Vocational Training Rehabilitation Center for Handicapped, (70_ girls). Vidvanaaar Hyderabad^ Tdangana and. GH£_ Blind, girls, school Malakpet. Hyderabad The team organizing the event is "We Connect".

The first project taken up by Prayas is that of a school for blind people. It is a blind girls school for people with visual impairment of any sort. It is located in Malakpet. Prayas has taken up the responsibility to provide for basic amenities in this school where students are deprived and are not fortunate enough to even afford items of basic necessity. Prayas is going to look after their needs by providing solar heaters, sanitary pads and other basic items that they lack. This is a noble cause and Prayas has focused its efforts on improving the lives of the people in this school.

The next project in pipeline for Prayas is a school for the handicapped. They have a requirement for sports equipment specially designed for people with disabilities. Prayas will provide the sports equipment needed by the people in this school. Child God Grace Society in Sainikpuri which is a Rat-pickers (40 Kids) from slums are providing them good education from a good school for an entire academic year.

These are the two major projects that Prayas is starting with. But the doors of Prayas are always open to everyone who needs any sort of help. Our vision is to be able to improve the living conditions of the deprived. Be a part of this noble cause and help us to make the lives of those unfortunate, worthy.
