Hyderabad, 11th April 2014: 'Happiness Unlimited' — an exhibition of a collection of black and white photographs of children in slum areas of Hyderabad was unveiled today. Brought in partnership by Airtel and photographer - Chandrashekar.V, the exhibition is based on the concept of 'Happiness Unlimited' was brought about and translated into action with the understanding that happiness is a state of mind; it's a way of life
It does not depend where you live or what you own. Most of us do not differentiate between pleasure and happiness. Pleasure is materialistic and ends upon possessing the material we desire and then we start yearning for the next possession and keep craving for it till we possess. This is a never ending process. People who are financially challenged have only two options- either to be happy or not to be happy. I find most of them happy. Their desires are limited; they live by the day, they live in the moment. They spread unlimited happiness "I started visiting slums around Hyderabad. They may not have proper houses, sufficient food to eat or clothes to wear. but they truly have a soul. They work for their need not for their greed They live by the moment. I saw "Happiness Unlimited". I have tried to capture the moment through pictures" says Chandrashekar.V the man behind the lens for all the photographs that form the 'Happiness Unlimited' Exhibition.
Starting 14' April 2014, all the photographs will be on display and on sale at the Muse Gallery at Marriott Hotel. All proceeds from the sale of the framed photographs will go to the 'Heal a Child Foundation', a Non-Profit Organization, founded with the mission to save sick children who may not survive, not because of their illness, but only because the family cannot afford to pay for medical expenses & prolonged in-patient treatment at the hospital The foundation, which started in June 2010. has saved over 200 children in the last four years
Sabina Xavier, Founder and Trustee, Heal a Child Foundation said, "Heal a Child is very happy to be associated with Airtel's Happiness Unlimited Exhibition. Heal a Child works to bring about happiness in families with poor and cntically ill children and the exhibition showcases happiness shining on these little children's faces 100% of the proceeds from this exhibition have been pledged to HAC and it will pay for medical expenses of very sick children whose parents cannot afford it. Many lives will be saved & Happiness Unlimited will be a reality in these people's lives Kaali Sudheer of Muse has always been a big supporter of HAC and we appreciate his support"

He along with his wife Chitra started visiting slums in Hyderabad. His wife used to teach them & he would be around photographing the joyous moments of people there.
