Fête de la Musique - World Music Day 2014 Celebrations at Hyderabad Public School

The day also known as Fête de la Musique was a music festival, which began in France in 1982. French Minister of Culture Jack Lang conceived the idea in 1981. Since then the day has been celebrated every year as the World Music Day.

According to another theory, American musician Joel Cohen in France, in 1976, proposed an all-night music celebration to mark the beginning of the summer solstice and since then the entire world celebrates World Music Day on June 21.
