Kalakriti - the renowned art gallery of Hyderabad, will displays some amazing artefacts by young artists from Friday 18th July. Captivating art work of six Oakridgers, all girls - Aditi Lakhtakia, Anuradha Roy, Apurupa Balasubramanyam, Deeksha Sanjay, Hema Harika Chandana and Veda Kasireddy will be showcased. These kid artists have passionately poured their heart out and created canvases with vibrant colours and brushstrokes.
Aptly named as 'Infinite Journey' started with some great initial steps two years ago for these six girls. They were focussed to explore the marvel in them, as each of the 6 girls demonstrated their unique lens of their journey in the form of canvas. These talented budding artists were carefully nurtured by Oakridger Art Mentors – Piu Mahapatra, M.S. Vaasu, B. Visweshwara Rao and G. Ramakrishna.
Aditi for instance chose ‘music and snazzy glamour’ as her subject. According to her music is a harbinger of excitement, thrill and glamour. She also incorporated very creatively in her art works her experience of past three years of jewellery making, while Apurupa has put her artistic and writing skills into minute detailing of portraits.
Hema, the true experimenter and ardent lover of nature worked on to display the nature’s beauty in a mesmerising manner. Anuradha focussed on the world of colours, textures and the rhythm involved.
The other wonder girl, Veda Kasireddy is absolutely receptive to all kinds of ideas. In the last two years she strived to capture through her art, how contrasting instances co-exist with each other in this world. Being an extremely powerful writer, many of Veda’s works reflect a strong illustrative quality.
”As an art teacher I am very proud to see the distance these girls have already travelled and will be thrilled to see their voyage ahead. The best part of teaching in Oakridge is, the Visual art department works like one team and we hold each other’s hand to bring out the best from our students“ says Oakridge Art Mentor, Piu Mahapatra.
This unique art showcase was inaugurated by Hyderabad's eminent artists – Jagdish Mittal and Surya Prakash. Vice Principals of Oakridge Gachibowli campus, Mr. Biju Baby and Ms. Hema Chennupaty graced the occasion.
The gallery will be open for public view from Friday 18th July evening. It will be open from 11 AM to 6 PM on Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th July.
