38th Convocation Ceremony of St. Francis College for Women, Hyderabad

St. Francis College for Women conducted its 38th Convocation on the 9th of October 2015 in the Auditorium of the college to honour the students of 2014 batch who have achieved academic excellence in their respective streams.

The Chief Guest for the Day was Professor E. Suresh Kumar, Registrar of Osmania University who delivered the convocation address. Addressing the gathering of students, Mr. Kumar said that every student should have one aim in life; to return to their college as the Cheif Guest after succeeding in the field of their choice. He stated that to achieve success one should weaken their weaknesses and strengthen their strengths ad by doing so they will triumph in the field of their choice.

Adding to what Mr. Kumar had to say, Guest of Honour Dr. Tessy Thomas, Director of Advanced System Laboratory(ASL), Defence Research and Development Organisation also known as the "Missile Woman" spoke about the importance of facing challenges confidently. She said one should never be perturbed when met with an obstacle. She also said that one should never lose their originality and achieve as much knowledge as they possibly can.

After the inspiring speech, students from various streams were awarded for their academic excellence in diverse subjects. 38 gold medals were given to the students from Arts, Commerce and Sciences. Thus, it was a proud day for the ex-students of St. Francis College for Women. ?
