Hyderabad, 4th September, 2014: 92.7 BIG FM's mega successful green campaign - BIG Green Ganesha enters Its seventh year! With a vision, a thought for a better eco-friendly future was laid down in 2008 and the campaign was created. BIG Green Ganesha aims at creating social consciousness towards making one of India's largest and most popular festivals more ecologically sound and has so far touched over millions of Indians.

Furthermore, 92.7 BIG FM will also commence the BIG Green Awards for the individuals who are contributing to the society by following green methods in their respective industry or contributing to the society by creating awareness on eco friendly measures. MP Smt. K. Kavitha felicitated those individuals today after performing special Aarti to BIG Green Ganesha.

In the celebrations for the 7th edition of the 92.7 BIG FM presents BIG Green Ganesha campaign powered by Maha Cements, Inassociation with Chola M S General Insurance, 92.7 BIG FM has installed the Paper Mache Ganesha at Prasad's IMAX for 9 days. The celebrations witnessed the presence of the MP Smt. K Kavitha, Representatives from Maha Cement and Chola Ms also present at the Venue.

BIG Green Ganesha 2014 is being conducted across 14 major cities in India including Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Goa, Sholapur, Indore, Bhopal, Gwalior, Surat, Baroda, Mysore, Tirupati, Vishakhapatnam and Mangalore along with a paper collection drive in the towns around these cities like Virar, Vasai near Mumbai, Hoskote & Tumkur, near Bangalore, Kapra & Jeedimetla around Hyderabad, Navsari near Surat etc

One of the biggest green initiatives in the country, BIG Green Ganesha has over the years won awards for excellence in on-ground activations and creativity including the prestigious India Radio Forum Excellence in Radio Award and Golden Mikes. The campaign will be promoted through a high- decibel 360-degree marketing plan covering various multimedia platforms including celebrity endorsements, on-ground activities, television, radio, outdoor, and digital outlets.

ABHINAV GANGUMALLA: He is CEO of Hyderabad goes green. It's not a late concept but adopted and put to work by the two friends Santosh and Abhinav. They are two different individuals in different fields. It's been close to 5 years, they both started up an organization called Hyderabad Goes Green. The thought of being Eco friendly has not just been there likeness towards but where practical at their mission like RAIN WATER HARVESTING, KITCHEN COMPOSTING, MAKING CLAY GANESHA and NATURAL COLORS made by fruits and vegetables.

HEMA SUBRAMANYAM: She is a social entrepreneur and founder of COLOR DE EARTH. As she looks back and see 11 years of successful journey giving life to the artisans and the art made by them which is known as TERRACOTTA jewelry. Making this jewelry she feels so pleasure in wearing the earthy wealth and form of the ancient art as TERRACOTTA. The moment she touched the clay she felt DEJA VU and lead her life with clay art and earned over 150 artisans over 11 states from INDIA-

SHSAHIKANTH KAJA: His thought at the age of 19 has made him the Youngest CEO and Founder of REWHEEL ECO SOLUTIONS PRIVATE LIMITED. His thought of not using plastic has bought life to the society and helped him gain much interest in making cloth bags at affordable prices. He has hired people from the slams to earn working and as well made it a point to make a plastic free society by using the affordable bags. 10 months down the line Rewheel is all over cooperate and schools as part of their daily lives.

DR. JASVEEN JAIRATH : Over 21 years she is been working with organization related to water researches, her love towards lakes is never ending she made it a point to protect all the lakes in Hyderabad and started SOUL which means SAVE OUR URBAN LAKES, she is founding convener of SOUL. SOUL is a community based organization where people work there from different fields. SOUL is been a strength of various people for past 5 years and they make it a point it's never ending process and fight too save the lakes of Hyderabad.

NARAYAN MURTHI : Good thoughts have come together in a form on good seeds to NARAYAN MURTHI, his 2 year of healthy life concept has given platform to many organic and Eco friends mates. His thought in life has bought him way forward from the past way of living healthy to the new way of living healthy. He made it a point not just make things healthier but life can also get healthier by eating Organic food and leading a Eco friendly life.

GUNARANJAN: We have heard many types of DHAAN, like DHAN DHAAN, VIDHYA DHAAN, ANNADHAAN etc., but the founder director of UNITED CARE DEVELOPMENT SERVICES, has come up with different definitions of DHAAN like VASTHU DHAAN, KACHARA DHAAN, DHAN DHAAN. The major look through in UC is Kachra dhaan people from various parts of Hyderabad have come together in donating vasthu and kachra which means dry material and kitchen waste for composting. He always believes in sticking to the ground and always wanted to be volunteer for services like this.

ARUNAJYOTHI: She is known as the DAUGHTER OF NATURE for her love towards green. She stood all alone in supporting and adopting healthier way of living. She have got award from the dist collector of nalgonda. She made jewelry wit cereals, eatable bowls and takes workshops for children and teaches them to make paper bags and clay idols. She is born and bought up in Maharashtra but have adopted Telugu culture very quickly.
