Jayam Ravi, Kushboo, Devi Shri Prasad, Rana Daggubati, Vedhika and Nikki Galrani announce the SIIMA 2016 celebrations in Chennai
The Biggest South Indian International Movie Awards- SIIMA is back with its 5th edition on 30th June and 1st July 2016, at the Suntec Convention Centre, Singapore.
After bringing Singapore to a halt with their Road Shows, and a star studded Press Conference in Hyderabad, it was time for Chennai to get its dose of glamour. A Press Conference was held to announce the SIIMA celebrations with South Indian biggies Jayam Ravi, Kushboo, Devi Shri Prasad, Rana Daggubati, Vedhika and Nikki Galrani.
The evening began with the ever-so-graceful Kushboo, taking the centre stage and talking about her association, “SIIMA is like a reunion for me with the four industries coming together and I love the grand way in which SIIMA celebrates the South Indian Industry. With Singapore having a vast Tamil population, I can’t wait for the celebrations to begin.”
Also present at the press conference was the Thani Oruvan star Jayam Ravi who couldn’t contain his excitement about his movie being nominated in multiple categories. On the occasion he stated, “We always look forward to SIIMA and this year is no different. Thani Oruvan was a special movie, and i have been nominated for it, too... I hope it wins.”
With its promise of offering the South Indian Industry a world stage, SIIMA announced its collaboration with Remo, one of the most awaited releases of 2016 that boasts of some of the biggest names of the Tamil film industry being a part of it. Actors Sivakarthikeyan and Keerthy Suresh, cinematographer P. C. Sreeram, music director Anirudh Ravichander and sound engineer Resul Pookutty, will be launching the single, Senjitaley from the movie on July 1st July at SIIMA 2016. This one-of-its kind integration will see the star cast of Remo doing a surprise act for its fans in Singapore which will definitely leave them spell bound.
After successfully finishing four seasons, with extravagant performances and movie collaborations, and over 200 celebrities being a part of it, SIIMA is definitely the grandest celebrations of South Indian films. Brinda Prasad Adusumilli, SIIMA chairperson shared, “With every passing year we only wish to offer more to the South Indian fans across the globe and this year is no different. We have announced our association with Remo which has an extremely talented cast and crew.”
SIIMA 2016 is powered by Parle Bakesmith, Hungama as Digital Partner, Celkon as Mobile Partner, and in Association with Skill India, Himalaya Facewash and Pepperfry.
With the biggest names from the industry coming together under one roof, SIIMA is all set to enthral audiences with a Spectacular Destination, the Red Carpet, and a Grand Line of Performances, on June 30th and July 1st, 2016 at the Suntec Convention Centre, Singapore.
