Oosaravelli - Enjoyable, powerful & emotionally strong!

After ‘Naa Alludu’, ‘Rakhi’ and ‘Adhurs’, NTR and Devisri Prasad together are coming up with ‘Oosaravelli’ film. ‘Oosaravelli’ starring NTR, Tamanna and Payal Ghosh is taking shape under the direction of Surender Reddy, who is known for his stylish filmmaking. BVSN Prasad is producing the film under Sri Venkateswara Cine Chitra banner. RR Movie Makers is releasing this highly anticipated film on October 6th as Dusserra gift. Now coming to music, the album was released on September 15th at Shilpa Kala Vedika by Aditya Music Company. The expectations for the audio are as high as it is for the film. So let’s just check out the songs.
Brathakaali Music: Devi Sri Prasad Lyrics: Chandrabose Singer: Devi Sri Prasad
The album starts off with heavy musical track. It’s an emotional song on love in its various forms of acts. The song ignites first kiss to different variations of love feelings. Chandra Bose did a fantastic job when it comes to lyrics part. However, as a listener I could neither hear it nor feel it due to the heavy instrumental sound. Devisri’s music was so loud that the listener can barely hear the vocals.
Nenante Naaku Music: Devi Sri Prasad Lyrics: Ramjogayya Sastry Singer: Adnan Sami
‘Nenante Naaku Chaalane Ishtam….Nuvvante Inkaa Ishtam….’ is a beautiful romantic song written by Ramajogayya Sastry. Even though the music in this track has typical Devisri Prasad’s label, the song might not appeal to the listeners due to Adnan Sami’s vocals. His weird pronunciation of words will only test the listeners’ patience and ultimately irritate them. It is time to think for the producers, directors as well as the music directors to not experiment songs with singers who are not fluent in Telugu, atleast for big heroes’ films.
Yelango Yelango Music: Devi Sri Prasad Lyrics: Ramjogayya Sastry Singer: Jaspreet Jasz, Chinmayee
‘Yelango Yelango…’ is a tribal song with percussion beats will instantly make your feet tap. The song will involve you in the tribal experience. Jaspreet Jasz and Chinmayee sang it in tribal style making yipping sounds. The music is different and the arrangement was very good. Ramajogayya’s lyrics are funky as well as interesting. One can visualize the dance choreographed on NTR and Tamanna. Overall this track is good to listen.
Love ante Caring Music: Devi Sri Prasad Lyrics: Anantha Sriram Singer: Francois Castelleno
This is a playful love song sung by Francois Castelleno. Anantha Sriram penned lyrics in a youthful manner that would instantly grab the youth’s attention. Devisri composed this youthful racy song ‘Love ante Caring, Friend ante Sharing…’ with excellent orchestration. The song attracts the youth to the dance floors due to its drum beats and beautiful whistling sound. Enjoy!!!
Sri Anjaneyam Music: Devi Sri Prasad Lyrics: Sirivennela Singer: MLR Karthikeyan, Dialogue: NTR
This track opens with NTR’s dialogues “Neeku vanda mandhi kanabadutunnaremo….naaku mathram okkade kanabadutunnadu. Yuddamantu modhalu pettaka, kantiki kanabadalsindhi targetu matrame…”, and later starts off with MLR Karthikeyan’s vocals ‘Sri Anjaneyam Bhaje Vayuputram….’. The situation of the song appears to be a dramatic climax of the film. With drums also joining in on the action, the situation turns out to a big emotional climax. One will understand it only when he/she watches it on the screen.
Niharika Music: Devi Sri Prasad Lyrics: Anantha Sriram Singer: Vijay Prakash, Neha Bhasin
‘Niharika Niharika…’ is a fun, warm, romantic and catchy duet sung by Vijay Prakash and Neha Bhasin. This song oozes sex appeal from beginning to end. The combination of vocals and simple synthesized beat are a perfect combination. The lyrics written by Ananth Sriram are all about good old-fashioned lust and mood setter. Nevertheless as mentioned earlier, care must be taken regarding the singers’ pronunciation of Telugu words, even if one calls it a song in western style.
Dandiya India Music: Devi Sri Prasad Lyrics: Anantha Sriram Singer: Mukesh, Suchitra
‘Raave cheddam Dandiya….Zara….Oogipodha India…’ is a nice song for dance floors with good mass beats. The song is energetic and makes the listener shake his body as long as the song plays. Mukesh and Suchitra sang this song with good energy in their tone. The lyrics penned by Anantha Sriram are playful, youthful as well as catchy. Well composed by Devisri with peppy rhythm.
Oosaravelli (Theme Song) Music: Devi Sri Prasad Lyrics: Ramjogayya Sastry Singer: Ujjayinee Roy
This title song starts off with ‘Oooooooooosaravelli…Oooooooooooooosaravelli…Veedu Mayagadu, Oohakandanodu, Veedi Valaku Padina Vaadu Paiki Theladu, Veedu Kanthirodu, Anthuchikkanodu, Koti Thalala Theliviki Question Markudu….Ooooooooooooooosaravelli…yeah yeah yeah….’. This is the most interesting song in the entire album. Lyrics by Ramajogayya Sastry are very interesting to follow and not to speak of Ujjayinee Roy’s vigorous vocals. It’s an excellent song in this album and highly recommended.
Overall vision of the songs is good but this album may disappoint the movie lovers a little since they have already listened to better songs in NTR-Devisri combination in the past. However, Devisri has the ability to instantly capture the listeners’ attention through these catchy songs ‘Oosaravelli’, ‘Dandiya India’, ‘Niharika’, ‘Love ante Caring’ and ‘Yelango Yelango’.
