‘Ek Niranjan’, the second film in Puri-Prabhas combo (the first being Bujjigadu) is hitting theaters worldwide tomorrow. Due to huge fan following Prabhas’s films, in general, generate perceptible craze irrespective of hits or flops. And imagine ‘Ek Niranjan’ that took shape in the hands of the sensational director Puri Jagannath. Prabhas himself revealed in an interview that he is essaying a very unique role that is probably the first of its kind in Indian cinema. This apart, there are attractions like Mani Sharma’s music, Puri’s dialogues, Shyam K Naidu’s cinematography, MR Varma’s editing, art director Chinna’s creations and not to speak of Bollywood’s sizzling star Kangana Raunat, who is all set to make her mark in Tollywood.
Since the story has not been revealed, let’s us keep that aside and discuss about the making of ‘Ek Niranjan’. The film is an action packed romantic entertainer with Prabhas as ‘Bounty Hunter’, known to be more effective than the police, and his job is to hunt fugitives. While he has lured the directors with his charm into creating the tailor-made roles for him, this six-footer aptly fits into the role of ‘Ek Niranjan’. We have also learnt through insiders that Prabhas performed his role with tremendous confidence. The dialogue delivery and the character’s body language is said to have been handled with great ease.
The production department needs a special mention here. Recent films like ‘Pokiri’, ‘Yamadonga’, ‘Arundathi’, ‘Magadheera’ are the finest examples for their high technical standards in Tollywood. And now, the makers of 'Ek Niranjan' are sure that it will join the list of these films which has been made at par with them. Chinna’s magnificent art work in creating look-alike sets in Hyderabad like - the clock tower, a cross road junction, by lanes, house sets for the lead pair, a Hanuman temple and dhobi ghat might give an absolute natural look. Shyam K Naidu’s amazingly captured songs in Switzerland, is another noteworthy element of the film.
What can I say about Mani Sharma, who is known to everyone as melody brahma? His irresistible music in assorted style will also be one of the major factors, especially the title song ‘Ek Niranjan’ that has hit the chartbusters. Above all, Puri’s smart and crispy dialogues and the climax scenes are the main attractions.
Yes! In the above mentioned preview one can understand that the entire film will have complete Puri’s mark. No doubt the film will have good openings as there is no competitor, but let’s wait and watch if the film will sustain and quench the thirst of people from all walks of life.
