A film’s success cannot be credited to a single person because every department plays vital role in its own way for a film to become a grand success, be it direction, production, music, cinematography, sets designing, fights, choreography, editing or artists performance. So here we are talking about the ‘Sri Ramarajyam’, the mythological film created by veteran director Baapu and produced by Yalamanchili Saibabu.

The attractive sets in ‘Sri Ramarajyam’ were designed by Manne Kiran Kumar which were the main attractions in the film. On Monday the art director shared his views with the media in Hyderabad. He said, “As an art director ‘Sri Ramarajyam’ is my first film which I designed sets for the entire film except one set. I’m very happy to work with a director like Baapu garu in my first film. I got the complete job satisfaction by designing sets like Raja Durbar, Puja Mandiram, Kausalya Mandiram, Sayana Mandiram, etc. 500 workers worked on these sets day and night for 90 days. We were able to construct such huge sets only because the film was made in Ramoji Film City which is world’s biggest film city. Producer Saibabu garu would always tell us not to compromise anywhere. Many mythological films including ‘Daana Veera Soora Karna’ have inspired me to design these sets.”

Further speaking he said, “While I was working in Ramoji Film City in graphics department, Baapu garu came to Ramoji Film City regarding the sets work for ‘Sri Ramarajyam’ film. After he narrated the story to me I later designed a miniature and showed him. He was very impressed with it and asked him if I would work for the entire film. That was how I got this opportunity. Balakrishna garu also advised me to work using latest technology.”

Kiran concluded saying that he is currently working for a 3D film which is being made with Kalyan Ram in Telugu and Upendra in Kannada.
