NTR Statue inaugurated in Parliament, Jr NTR attends

Telugu Desam Party founder and legend of Telugu cinema Late N T Rama Rao’s statue was inaugurated this morning (7 May, 2013) at Parliament Central Hall in New Delhi. Speaker Meera Kumar unveiled NTR statue in the presence of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Nandamuri clan, Central Ministers and MPs from other political parties who attend the event and made it a grand success which came after more than 18 years after NTR’s death. However, the only person who did not attend the inauguration function was the UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi. NTR’s daughter Daggubati Purandeswari, who’s Minister of State for Commerce and Industry and got promoted as Minister of Textiles (India) played vital role in the installation of NTR statue in Parliament.

The entire NTR clan including Nandamuri Balakrishna, his wife Vasundhara Devi, Hari Krishna, Jr NTR and Kalyan Ram along with Nara Chandra Babu Naidu and Late NTR’s second wife Lakshmi Parvathy were part of the grand ceremony. Apart from them, Central Minister Dr Chiranjeevi, Dr Mohan Babu, Jaya Pradha and Bollywood actress cum politician Rekha also attended the ceremony.
