Pawan Kalyan’s ‘Attarintiki Daaredhi’ has completed its post production works are completed. The first copy is ready and the makers are waiting to send the film for the censor certificate on August 2nd. The film was also planned for its release in highest number of theaters, which would be a record in Pawan’s career. But on the other hand, the center’s announcement to bifurcate Andhra Pradesh to create a separate state of Telangana, has stimulated tension for producers, distributors and exhibitors. It’s not just for the makers of ‘Attarintiki Daaredhi’, but the announcement came as a shock to the entire Tollywood industry as Telugu film industry is the 2nd largest film industry in India with crores of rupees being pumped into films.

Coming up big releases are ‘Attarintiki Daaredhi’ on August 7th, ‘Yevadu’ on August 21st, ‘Thoofan’ on September 6th, ‘Ramayya Vasthavayya’ on September 27th and Mahesh Babu’s ‘1’ (Nenokkadine) (date not yet confirmed). It’s really sad, but one has to truly accept the fact that Rasta Roko’s, Bandhs, Agitations, etc., due to state bifurcation is going to have a big impact on the box-office results of these films.
