Tollywood’s Powerstar and Jana Sena Party founder and President Pawan Kalyan on Thursday, November 10 announced that he would contest the Assembly elections 2019 in Andhra Pradesh. Pawan kalyan held a massive meeting in Anantapur, demanding special status for AP. He gave powerful speech at the large gathering to muster people’s support for the grant of special category status to AP.

Though Kalyan said he would contest for an MLA seat in 2019, he did not specify if Jana Sena would field other candidates as well. Addressing the gathering, Pawan Kalyan said, “I always stand by the people even though they don’t vote for me. First party office will be established in that backward town Anantapuram in AP’s Rayalseema region.”

“I urge all the leaders of the state and national BJP leaders not to cheat people of AP. When will you bring special status? We will not forget the injustice done to AP on the SCS issue and we will fight for it,” Kalyan stated. He criticised the Chandrababu Naidu government as well as YSR Congress Party leader YS Jaganmohan Reddy for not doing enough for the State. He blamed the CM for welcoming the Centre’s special package rather than demanding the promised special status.

Pawan kalyan, who is busy with his political career, will next be seen in films ‘Katamarayudu’ under Dolly direction and another Tamil remake.
