KV Mahadevan's Musical Concert at Bay Area

Chimata Music, in association with a local popular Peacock Indian restaurant, is going to organize a Telugu musical concert with an exclusive list of best melodies of the yesteryears' popular music director, KV Mahadevan. The venue is the Sunnyvale Hindu Temple Auditorium, CA and the date/time is Saturday, Nov 14th 5: 00 - 10: 00 PM.

We are committed to do a series of Telugu musical concerts in commemoration of all those yesteryears' great Telugu music directors. Encouraged by our first-of-its-kind Telugu concert on the music director, Sathyam in June 2009 in the Silicon Valley of CA, we are going with doubled energy and enthusiasm for the next one in the series i.e. the KV Mahadevan concert.

A total of around 25 full songs and a medley of a dozen Pallavulu & Charanaalu will be performed. A KMV-based Singing Competition Program (before the main concert begins) will be held at 2:00 PM to encourage the kids and the enthusiastic adult singers. Two most popular local (US-based) singers, "America Ghantasala" Raju Idury (Sacramento) and "Gaayaka Rathna" Mani Sastry (Houston) are going to be the lead singers in this exciting concert and they are accompanied by our talented local Baby Area singers (Prasad Durvasula, Vijay Vemuri, Murali Sambhara, Ravi Tata, Hema Kota and Sudha Sastry).

The concert is going to be a Live-Orchestra with the best instrumentalists in the Bay Area such as Kishmu & Nagaraj (Keyboards), Balaji & Satya (Tabla/Dholak), Arun Caddy (Drums), Ashwin (Flute) and Farhan (Bass Guitarist). We are expecting a crowd of 1200+ music lovers to attend this event. A few music lovers are also flying from the distant places like New Jersy, Texas, Virginia, North Carolina etc just to experience the live-show thrill.

The next ones in the series are Ilaya Raja (May 2010), Ghantasala B'Day Celebrations (Dec 2010), Ramesh Naidu (May 2011), GK Venkatesh/Rajan-Nagendra (Dec 2011) so on and so forth. We will screen a few recorded clips by SP Balu, CiNaRe, Veturi etc on their close association with KV Mahadevan & Puhalendi during the break time of the concert and there will be a gallery of Maama's rarely available vintage pictures. We believe that such concerts were never organized anywhere in the world before and we are excited to continue this series of concerts that we have started in the summer of 2009. We will keep organizing these events (usually of 4-5 hour long ones) at least twice a year with very affordable ticket prices ($5, $10, and $20). We are seeking all your blessings and we hope you will make the concert a huge success.

We kindly request all of you to spread a word on this Nov 14th event to your near and dear ones in the Bay Area, California.
