Ranganatha Sai Korrapati was born in Guntur district, Bellary, Andhra Pradesh , India. He currently staying at Hyderabad , India.
Early Life:
He is a South Indian film producer who has worked primarily in Telugu films, and is well recognized for his excellent works. He is the founder and owner of indian film production firm Varahi Chalana Chitram. In 2012 he founded that company.
Career:
In 1999 he stepped with Seetaramaraju into the distribution of Telugu films. He owns a Radhika theatre in his home town of Bellary. For over fifty feature films he distributed blockbuster films in Telugu film.
He produced the film 'Eega' in 2012. It's a fantasy-based film. This film was scribed by K V Vijayendra Prasad, and directed by S S Rajamouli. The film's star cast includes Sudeep, Nani, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Crazy Mohan, and Santhanam. The film centers around a little girl and her father telling her a bedtime tale.
He is also the producer of a 2015 major Tamil blockbuster, 'Baahubali: The Beginning.' This movie is based on a historic epic. The directorial debut of Sai was 'Naan Ee' Tamil movie.
For many other films he was associated as a distributor and producer. These films include 'Andala Rakshasi' (2012), 'Legend' (2014), 'Oohalu Gusagusalade' (2014),' 'Dikkulu Choodaku Ramayya' (2014), and 'Raja Cheyyi Vesthe' (2016).
Sai Korrapati has worked with multiple top Telugu industry actors such as Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Sudeep, Nani, Naga Shourya, Rashi Khanna, Adith Arun, Dimple Chopade, etc.
Awards & Honours:
Among all these films, Sai Korrapati received a maximum number of honors for Eega. He has received the National Film Award under the category Best Feature Telugu film for the film Eega.
He also received the Best Telugu film's Filmfare Award, the Best Film's South Indian International Movie Award, the Year's Family Entertainer CineMAA Award, and the Best Action Film's 8th Toronto After Dark Film Festival. All these rewards were for the movie Eega.
