Tabu returns in gangster avatar

For all Tabu fans out there, she is coming back to the silver screen in yet another powerful role in the Bollywood film ‘Revolver Rani’. This woman centric gangster film is most likely to commence in 2013. As per the Bollywood reports writer Sai Kabir is going to direct this movie and it will be fully shot in central Madhya Pradesh. Tamil actor Vikram and Ritesh Deshmukh will be playing the key roles. On the other hand, she is already doing the role of a gangster in yet another Bollywood film titled ‘David’ wihich is under production.

During her 40 years as a film actress, Tabu gave many critically acclaimed performances, beginning with ‘Jeet’ in 1996 and carved a name for herself in Bollywood and Tollywood. In her movie career, the actress won 2 National Awards for her unsympathetic roles in ‘Maachis’ and ‘Chandini Bar’ and 6 Filmfare Awards in different categories including the best actress award for her romantic entertainers like ‘Ninne Pelladatha’ costarring with Nagarjuna and ‘Cheeni Kum’ opposite Amitabh Bachchan.

Tabu was last seen on the Telugu screen in ‘Pandurangadu’ opposite Balakrishna in 2008 and was also nominated for the Filmfare award for Best Supporting Actress. ‘Toh Baat Pakki’ was her last Bollywood film in 2010 in which she played a full-fledged character. After that she essayed a cameo role in a Malayalam multi-starrer film ‘Urumi’. Tabu’s Hollywood film ‘Life of Pi’ is expected to release in mid November.
