Gone are the days when Khans used to rule the roost in Bollywood. With the success of ‘The Dirty Picture’ and ‘Kahaani’, Vidya Balan rewrote the history of Bollywood by showing that she can pull in the crowds without a Khan hero. The next women oriented films in the pipe-line is Madhur Bandarkar’s ‘Heroine’ with Kareena Kapoor in title role and Vikas Bhal’s ‘Queen’ with Kangana Ranaut.
While Madhur Bandarkar-Kareena Kapoor’s ‘Heroine’ is already progressing briskly, Vikas Bahl-Kangana’s ‘Queen’ is set to hit floors shortly. Director Vikas Bahl who earned good recognition with his ‘Chiller Party’ says that he prepared the story of ‘Queen’ keeping Kangana in mind. According to him Kangana is apt for his story ‘Queen’ and she too has the crowd-pulling capability. Hence she is sure to earn more craze through ‘Queen’ than Vidya Balan got through ‘The Dirty Picture’.
