Rajnikanth’s upcoming period film ‘Kochadaiyaan’ (Vikrama Simha in Telugu) is out of Pongal (Sankranthi) race. The film which was supposed to release on December 12th, coinciding with Rajnikanth’s birthday, has been postponed to January 2013 due to extensive animation work. However, the makers are very clear that they cannot release the film even for Pongal, hence they have once again postponed to April 2013. The post-production works are presently being held at three different locations - Los Angeles, London and Hong Kong. The story is written by one of the leading Tamil directors K S Ravi Kumar, cinematography is handled by Rajiv Menon and music is composed by A R Rahman.
