Aam Aadmi hero is no more

Aam Aadmi hero Farooq Sheikh is no more. The 65 year old Bollywood actor died due to sudden heart attack on Friday night in Dubai while he was on a holiday in Dubai with his family. Sheikh is well known to Hindi movie lovers as ‘Chashme Baddoor’ hero. Many of the characters that he portrayed were related to Aam Aadmi (common man). The veteran actor worked with greats like Satyajit Ray, Muzaffar Ali, Ketan Mehta and Hrishikesh Mukherjee. He started his career in Bollywood in 1973 with ‘Garam Hawa’ and his last film was Ranbir Kapoor-Deepika Padukone starer ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’. Sheikh had been a part of several botable films like ‘Shatraj Ke Khiladi’, ‘Noorie’, ‘Cheshme Baddoor’, ‘Kissi Se Na Kehna’, etc. He is best known for his contribution to parallel cinema in 1970s and 80s. The entire Bollywood mourned the loss of Farooque Sheikh. May his soul rest in peace!

Bollywood celebrities took to twitter to express their sorrow over the actor's death.

Amitabh Bachchan: "God !! Farooq Sheikh passes away !!? A true gentleman, a wonderful colleague ! A quiet honesty about him. Very very sad !

Shahrukh Khan: "And all I ask is quiet sleep & a sweet dream when the long trick’s over.“ Faroukh Sahib…Allah bless your soul. U are dearly loved & missed. My biggest regret that I never got to spend time with you, Faroukh sahib, as I had requested. Should have done it earlier. I feel so sorry."

Bomman Irani: "Farooq Sheikh passes away! Shocked, numbed and saddened. Was supposed to be shooting with him today. A gentleman actor is no more!"

Siddharth: "The always wonderful Farooque Sheikh has passed away. Integral part of many a parallel cinema classic... Great man. Gone too soon sir. RIP"
