It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say that there will be no one in the Telugu film industry who doesn’t know about Legendary Film Producer Dr. D. Ramanaidu. He is in the top of the list who developed Telugu film industry in Hyderabad. This veteran film producer had introduced many artists and technicians to the film industry. On the occasion of late Sri Ramanaidu garu’s 80th birthday, his sons D Suresh Babu and Venkatesh and Rana erected the monument to him on June 5, at Ramanaidu Studios in Hyderabad to commemorate him.
On this occasion, producer D Suresh Babu said, “My father, who forayed in Chennai as farmer, has turned into producer and given several super hit films to the Telugu film industry. He had introduced many artists and technicians including us. The Naturinch Hands is a memorial this can inspire the next generation. This monument shows his discipline and dedicated work. We will arranged some small plaques at the stupa to carve general quotations about his life. This memorial is designed by our sister with the help of an architect. We have designed it in a special way by bringing the stone from Pondicherry. The main reason for erecting this is to remind the Movie Mogul to the visitors and to the students. We are planning to establish a Museum of Cinema with the name of our father, in Vizag.
Telugu film industry is bringing many more good films since many years. From now on we can preserve the valuable things and signs related to the great films, in the museum. My father was a farmer and he liked agriculture. Therefore we are planning to start a Krushi Vignana Kendram in Medak to educate farmers about new technology. Ekalavya Foundation is giving their support. Senior journalist Vinayak Rao garu has penned a book on great films produced by Ramanaidu garu.
We suggested him to continue another book from where he stopped to till date. Vinayak Rao garu has given his nod. I have not produced any film since last year. From now on I will produce small films to encourage new talents. In the same way we will introduce an Award with the name of my father.” Speaking on the occasion, Venkatesh said, “My father is a great humane. He loves everyone and everyone loves him.” Rana said, “My grandfather rose to great heights as a producer and as a good human, with his vision and values.”
