Vijay Deverakonda donates to Kerala CM’s relief fund

Vijay Deverakonda on Sunday made a donation of Rs 5 Lakh to the disaster relief fund of Kerala Chief Minister. The actor also urged his fans ‘Rowdies’ to chip in. He took to his Twitter and shared the pictures of relief fund letter and payslip he transferred and wrote, “And now I hear Kerala is reeling under floods and situation is quite bad!

Kerala was my first holiday destination and has given me a lot of love for my work, I've met a lot of people from there who are some of the nicest people I know, I don't know how to reach out personally.”

Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan donated Rs 10 lakh for the flood victims of Kerala, which has been hit by heavy rainfall. After Pinarayi Vijayan appealed to people to make donations to CM’s relief fund, several celebrities came forward with donations. Actors like Kamal Haasan, Surya and Karthi also donated huge amounts to the relief fund. Vijay Television also donated Rs 25 lakhs.

Earlier, Vijay Deverakonda has donated Rs 25 lakh to telangana Chief Minister’s relief fund by auctioning his Filmfare award he won for his film ‘Arjun Reddy’.

On the professional front, Vijay is awaiting the release of ‘Geetha Govindam’. The actor is busy shooting for three more projects ‘Taxiwala’, ‘Nota’ and ‘Dear Comrade’.
