It was an emotional moment for Boney Kapoor and his two daughters Jhanvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor. They received the Best Actress National Award for their mother Sridevi posthumously. Sridevi passed away two months ago in Dubai due to drowning.
Jahnvi who is pursuing career in acting wore her mother's saree for the awards ceremony. She thanked the jury and Government for India for recognizing her mother's hard work. It was a special moment for her and her family.
Sridevi won this award for the film Mom in which she played the role of a mother who takes revenge for her daughter's rape. The award was given by the President of India at New Delhi's Vigyan Bhavan.
