The Andhra Pradesh government has offered a package to the ailing theatre sector in the State. Exhibitors have been exempted from paying fixed power charges for three months. A couple of other measures, too, have been offered as part of a Restart Package.
In this regard, former Film Chamber President, producer and prominent exhibitor NV Prasad has thanked Chief Minister Jaganmohan Reddy. "This help is immense and invaluable. I thank the elders of the industry for working towards the package. I thank Chiranjeevi garu, Akkineni Nagarjuna garu, SS Rajamouli garu, Trivikram garu and others. The requests of the industry have been fulfilled by the government," he said.
NV Prasad added that there is a congenial environment in cities like Vizag to carry out film shoots. "There are a few small problems in the industry. We are going to meet with the Chief Minister in this regard. The film industry is going to be developed not just in Hyderabad but also Vizag," the producer added.
