'Cinema Bandi', produced by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK, is a Telugu-language Indie film. A comedy drama, the film's trailer is out. Netflix has also announced that it will stream on its platform from May 14.

The film is about a bunch of villagers who shoot a film with an expensive camera. Talking about the spirit of the film, the makers said, “'Cinema Bandi' is grassroots filmmaking at its most basic. It was shot by just 10 people, some of them who also doubled as actors."

Helmed by debutant Praveen Kandregula and written by Vasanth Mariganti, this one features Vikas Vasishta, Varanasi Sandeep Kumar, Rag Mayur, Uma YG, Sindhu Sreenivasa Murthy, Siri Vennela, and Trishara.

Music is by debutant Sirish Satyavolu. For the looks of it, the film is a rooted one where the actors speak in the native tongue without sounding affected. "The film explores the story of a shared-auto driver who finds a camera in the backseat of his rickshaw and decides to gather his village and make a film, ‘picchar’ as they call it," the director says, talking about the premise.

In keeping with the backdrop of the film (a village on the border of Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka), the characters speak in a suitable language.

The producers of the movie are associated with ‘The Family Man', the popular Amazon Prime web series.
