Singer Chinmayi Sripada's happy tears on Priya Ramani's acquittance on #Metoo, her message to sexual harassment survivors makes everyone emotional

It is reported that the Delhi court acquits journalist Priya Ramani in MJ Akbar defamation case. Priya Ramani had earlier accused her former boss MJ Akbar of sexual harassment and molestation. MJ Akbar had filed a defamation case against the journalist, for which the court acquits her of. Singer Chinmayi Sripada rejoices the victory, stating this is a personal victory for her as she is one of the victims of sexual harassment.

In an Instagram post earlier today, Chinmayi had started a live video in which she had stated how happy she is currently. "This judgment gives me hope. Not just me, this gives hope to the sexual harassment survivors of all the genders".

"I always wondered how it would feel like to have to make a live video while being so emotional", the singer spoke as she had tears flowing. "All these years, the supporters of Vairamuthu, Radha Ravi, and their followers kept shaming me for I had raised a voice against them". The singer continued, " I feel this judgment given by the court of law, acquitting Priya Ramani gives me so much hope to continue my battle", Chinmayi Sripada said.

"To all the sexual harassment survivors! It might be difficult for you to get through this truth, but you never feel ashamed. Because the victim must never feel so. Your truth will speak", Chinmayi conveyed to the victims of sexual harassment.

Chinmayi Sripada, a singer by profession, turned out to be the 'voice' of repressed sexual harassers as well. Earlier during the #Metoo movement, the singer made shocking revelations about her personal experiences with sexual harassment. Chinmayi Sripada had made sensational comments about Tamil lyricist Vairamuthu, accusing him of sexual misconduct.

Popular singer Chinmayi Sripaada was among a few from the South Indian film industry who made a few shocking revelations during the Me Too movement in India. Ever since the singer has been vocal about the same.
