With the second wave of Covid-19 gripping the country, the film industry has once again come to a standstill and the filmmakers are in a dilemma over releasing their films.
SS Rajamouli's much-awaited RRR is one of the big films that is badly affected by the pandemic. The film is slated to release on October 13 this year. Considering the spike in Covid cases, the magnum opus may not be released this year.
The latest update is that Rajamouli is looking for the Summer slot to release the flick. But the reports suggest that lead actors Ram Charan and Jr NTR feel that summer is too late and they are expecting the makers to have a Sankranti release.
Needless to say, if RRR enters the Sankranthi race, then the movie team may face problems with the other heroes like Pawan Kalyan and Mahesh Babu as they announced their releases for Sankranthi a long time ago. Only time will tell what the RRR team will decide.
