RRR locks the biggest deal in the history of Indian cinema

 Director SS Rajamouli's upcoming magnum opus RRR has created many records even before hitting the big screens. The film, which will see Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Telugu versions on theatrical release, has closed the biggest deal in the history of Indian cinema.

The post-theatrical satellite and digital rights of all languages of RRR are bagged by ZEE5 for a record price of Rs 325 crores.

The total Pre-release revenue is expected to be around 800-850cr. Going by the reports, the makers of RRR will almost reach the breakeven mark only with non-theatrical rights. Producers will take home incredible never before ever after table profits with a profit number around 400cr.

RRR is a fictional story of India's freedom fighters, Alluri Sitarama Raju (Charan) and Komaram Bheem (NTR) who fought against the British Raj and Nizam of Hyderabad, respectively.
