YVS Chowdary announces a new film

YVS Chowdary, in a long social media post, has said that he will be making a lovely film with newcomers playing lead roles. More than five years after 'Rey' released, the 'Devadasu' maker is looking for the second wave to be over to launch the untitled project.

Saying that he was inspired by NT Rama Rao, K Raghavendra Rao, Ram Gopal Varma, Singeetham Srinivasa Rao and Krishna Vamsi to become a director, YVS Chowdary profusely thanked Akkineni Nagarjuna for encouraging him to make 'Sri Sita Ramula Kalyanam Chootamu Raarandi' with Venkat and Chandini in 1998. He especially thanked Nag for giving him the opportunity to direct his first film with newcomers as the lead pair even though three star directors had delivered flops with newcomers around the same time.

YVS went on to work with the likes of Mahesh Babu ('Yuva Raju') in his career. He also produced and directed the 2002 film 'Lahiri Lahiri Lahirilo', which starred Nandamuri Harikrishna, Aditya Om and Ankitha. YVS also introduced Ram Pothineni and Ileana with 'Devadasu', while Sai Dharam Tej and Saiyami Kher were introduced with 'Rey'.

For many years, YVS has been wanting to see a Telugu-speaking girl in a film that mirrors the Telugu culture. The senior director thinks the time has come for it to happen under his aegis. He is now going to make a family entertainer featuring a new set of actors, who will be impressing the audience with their performance. The film will also see a lot of young technicians working on it.

YVS made this announcement on Sunday, which was his birthday.
