'Republic' was on Sunday watched by TPCC chief Revanth Reddy, legislator Seethakka, singer Smitha and others.

Speaking on the occasion, director Deva Katta said, "If the emotional weight of a movie is strong, the audience can connect with the content. 'Republic' is being liked by one and all. Critics, too, have lavished praises on it. Everybody was asking me when I will do another 'Prasthanam'. 'Republic' has come as an answer."

Revanth Reddy said, "Deva Katta's movies reflect reality. 'Republic' is a thought-provoking movie that makes us think and reflect. There is a lot that needs to be done in our society. The flaws in our democratic system must be rectified. While 'Republic' is set in a specific locality, the questions it raises are universal. Keeping aside the monetary aspects, 'Republic' is an important film for the general public. I liked the performances of Sai Dharam Tej, Aishwarya Rajesh, Ramya Krishna and Jagapathi Babu."

Congress MLA Seethakka said, "My heart feels heavy after watching the movie. Everyone must watch 'Republic'. Politics needs to change. People need to change. 'Republic' is a timely film."
