MAA elections: Big names don't show interest

The MAA elections on Sunday were a mixed affair. If superstars Chiranjeevi, Pawan Kalyan and Nandamuri Balakrishna were present to cast their vote, many others were absent.

Among those who didn't turn up at the polling booth are Prabhas, 'Sarkaru Vaari Paata' actor Mahesh Babu, Jr NTR, and Allu Arjun. The actors were probably put off by the polarization during the campaign in the run up to the polls. Jr NTR, as per Jeevitha, expressed his displeasure during a private chat days before the elections. So, it's not surprising that he didn't turn up to vote.

What has caught many by surprise is that Naga Babu, who strongly wanted Prakash Raj to win, couldn't convince his children to use their voting right. Varun Tej is Manchu Vishnu's friend and he probably didn't want to go against him by casting his vote for his father's favourite candidate.

Had Chiru and Power Star not been present for voting, it would have been a near-total absence of the superstar names.
