At the pre-release event of 'Republic', Pawan Kalyan on Saturday asked Mohan Babu why he is not making a case for the Telugu film industry with Chief Minister YS Jagan, who is his relative. It was expected that Mohan Babu would come out and make a statement.
In less than 24 hours, the senior actor did issue a statement. However, he didn't defend himself or explain anything. The yesteryear hero said that he will give an answer after October 10.
He started the statement by referring to Power Star as his long-time friend Chiranjeevi's brother. "After a long gap, you have dragged me into an issue. Fine! MAA elections are going to be over on October 10. Let the elections be over. I will whole-heartedly answer the questions you have raised after that," Mohan Babu said.
He then urged the Jana Sena leader to cast his vote for his son Manchu Vishnu, who is running for MAA President.
