On Tuesday, a rumour went out that Megastar Chiranjeevi had sought the help of a Numerologist to tide over the current lean patch in his career. The failure of 'Acharya' was rumoured to have driven the legendary actor to add an extra 'E' to his spelling to change his luck. The first look video of 'Godfather' had him referred to as 'Chiranjeeevi'.
Turns out that the rumour is much ado about nothing. There is no name change as such. Media reports quoting sources close to the Chiru camp have stated that the extra 'E' is attributable to a typographical error. The extra letter has been removed and the correct spelling restored (yet to reflect at the time of writing this news item).
It's shocking that someone didn't check the spelling of Megastar's name. Due to the oversight of the team associated with the 'Godfather' video, a baseless rumour started doing the rounds. Horrendous grammatical errors are routinely committed in Tollywood, especially by social media teams. But he who has messed up with Chiranjeevi's spelling is a true legend. He has no match, really.
