It was yesterday reported that JD Chekravarthy has been awarded the Best Supporting Actor Award by the Eko International Film Festival. It's now learned that Tannishta Chatterjee, who played a bold role in the movie, has been given the Best Actress award at the festival. She has previously won a National Award. Both awards are in recognition of their performances in 'Dahini: The Witch', the Hindi-language film released in 2022.

Reacting to the recognition, JD said that it is a humbling experience for him as an actor. "To be judged with the best of international cinema and to win an award is no small accomplishment," the 'Money Money' star said.

The film has already won 13 other international awards and enjoys the distinction of over 10 official selections.
