A video clip of Trivikram Srinivas delving into the importane of book-reading has surfaced on social media. Several Netizens shared the same on Facebook, Instagram and other platforms.

In the video, the 'Guntur Kaaram' maker is seen saying that engaging in the intellectual pursuit of book-reading gives us the ability to indulge in self-introspection. "When we are seeing or listening to others, chances are that we get distracted by some other thing. But when we are reading a book, there is no such chance. We talk with ourselves. We get to know ourselves better. We attain the ability to introspect only by that," the writer-director says.

He goes on to suggest that, these days, the young generation is vociferous on social media to the point of offending others. But the same individuals don't pause to think and reflect. "That's because they don't have the habit of reading. Reading widely and expanding our reading choices will autmomatically make us better persons. We have to read more difficult literature, be it non-fiction or philosophy, to become better," Trivikram says in the video.
