On Sunday, Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad City, CV Anand, said that the personal security staff of celebrities must behave themselves. He spoke of the Sandhya theatre stampede incident and how Allu Arjun's 40-50 bouncers allegedly behaved in a reckless fashion.
The top cop said that the bouncers think only about the VIP they are supposed to protect. So much so, they end up "misbehaving with the police". "The behaviour of the bouncer is the responsibility of the VIPs. They cannot blame the bouncer. The liability is on the VIP only," the cop said.
After the top cop's utterance, Telugu film industries must take extra precaution. Bouncers are usually well-trained under able hands. Sometimes, retired cops themselves are on the job of training them. They are not just physically strong but also mentally trained to think in a rational way in unforeseen circumstances. Even so, Telugu film celebs would do well to be extra cautious and not take any chances. In the light of the latest warning, top actors should ask their bouncers to probably retrain themselves.
