Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar has reportedly requested the producers of 'Bade Miyan Chote Miyan' and 'Mission Raniganj' to prioritize settling dues owed to the crew members of the two disasters before his own outstanding amount is paid.

Akshay Kumar's decision to prioritize the crew, if true, is commendable. Both 'BMCM' and 'Mission Raniganj' have left a sour taste in the mouth of everyone involved. The stakeholders, including exhibitors, had nothing in it for them.

While the exact details of the payment delays are unknown, AK's intervention is timely. It also goes to show the level of financial crisis the producers of the two films are in.

Vashu Bhagnani and Jaccky Bhagnani are among the producers of the two films. Recently, it was reported that Vashu sold out a bungalow of his production house in Mumbai. He reportedly owes financiers something like Rs 250 Cr. The news may or may not be reflecting the complete picture.
