Sonu Sood defends spitting on food, sparks controversy

Bollywood actor Sonu Sood today defended the act of some food vendors and cooks who spit on the food they make. Allegedly, this act is driven by their religious hatred. Sonu Sood gave a reference to Shabari from the Ramayana to defend such sickos. The tale of Shabari tasting berries before offering them to Lord Rama is well-known.

"Our Shri Ram Ji ate the sour berries of Shabri, so why can't I eat them? Violence can be defeated by non-violence my brother. Humanity must just remain intact. Jai Shri Ram," Sonu Sood wrote.

The controversial tweet, at the time of writing, clocked nearly 8 lakh views on X.

Many Netizens tried to educate Sonu Sood. "The person shown in the video neither loves his customers nor is he spitting on the roti to taste it to check if it is cooked properly or not. The reason behind his action is hatred towards other religions. And you are comparing the act of such a person with that of mother Shabari? You are a very foolish person," a social media user wrote.

Sonu Sood has truly landed himself in a needless controversy. Is he joining some political party soon?
