'Swamy Ra Ra' has completed 11 years since its release on March 23, 2013. The crime comedy film was writer-director Sudheer Varma's debut. Made on a budget of about Rs 4 Cr, it went on to make double that budget. Produced by Chakri Chigurupati under Lakshmi Narasimha Entertainments, it co-starred Nikhil Siddharth and Swathi Reddy while Satya, Pooja Ramachandran and Ravi Babu played supporting roles.

Marking its anniversary on Saturday, Nikhil asked his director, Sudheer, if he was ready for a sequel. It remains to be seen whether it was a passing social media tweet backed by zero intent or whether a sequel to 'Swamy Ra Ra' is really in the works.

Varma has had a rough patch as a filmmaker. His 'Ravanasura' with Ravi Teja was a disaster. 'Saakini Daakini', 'Ranarangam' and 'Kirrak Party' were not good either. 'Keshava', Varma's second outing with Nikhil, had poor content but it did well commercially.

As for Nikhil, he is doing 'Swayambhu' and 'India House'. He will also be doing 'Karthikeya 3'.
