Bigg Boss Tamil season 8 has been hosted by actor Vijay Sethupathi. The 'Uppena' and 'Vikram' actor has been facing flak for not being an empathetic, open-minded host. He has been described by a section of the reality show's viewers as rude.
The season's ex-inmate, Dharsha Gupta, has only confirmed Vijay's problematic image. In a recent interview, Dharsha accused Vijay of not letting her speak her mind while in the House. “I had planned to talk a lot with him, but as time passed, I became more scared of him," Dharsha has been quoted as saying.
She further added, as per a news report, "When I wanted to talk, he used to cut me off. In the first few weeks, I used to raise my hand to talk, but he had asked me to sit down. So eventually, I got scared and restrained myself from talking."
Vijay Sethupathi entered the show after the exit of Kamal Haasan. “With a heavy heart, I wish to inform you that I will be taking a small break from our journey that began 7 years ago. Due to prior cinematic commitments, I am unable to host the upcoming season of Bigg Boss Tamil," the 'Indian 2' actor said in August, announcing his decision to depart from hosting the show.
As for Vijay, he will be seen in 'Viduthalai Part 2' on December 20 this year. His recent release, 'Maharaja', was a hit.
