Thalapathy's 69th outing was kicked off today with a traditional 'muhurat puja'. The second day of Navratri was chosen for the launch of the 2025 release.
The launch was preceded by a raft of announcements: The iconic Thalapathy Vijay will be joined by Bollywood actor Bobby Deol, Pooja Hegde and Mamitha Baiju of 'Premalu' fame, among others. Bobby Deol is doing this Kollywood project at a time when he awaits the release of 'Kanguva'.
Produced by KVN Productions, the untitled film also features actor-director Gautham Vasudev Menon, 'Ragada' heroine Priyamani, and 'Devara' actor Prakash Raj, among others.
Directed by H Vinoth and produced by Venkat K Narayana, this landmark film has music by Anirudh Ravichander. The cinematography is by Sathyan Sooryan (of the Telugu film 'Dasara' fame), editing is by Pradeep E Ragav (who recently edited 'Darling' in Telugu), action choreography is by Anl Arasu (who has repeatedly collaborated with Koratala Siva in Telugu), art direction is by Selva Kumar, and costume design is by Pallavi Singh.
The film will be released in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi in October 2025.
