A Cabinet Minister from Telangana passing derogatory comments against the Akkineni family and Samantha Ruth Prabhu has reached the Delhi media. The other day, Manchu Vishnu appeared on a national television channel in his capacity as the President of the Movie Artists Association.
Vishnu said that he would wait for Nagarjuna's next instruction regarding how to go about addressing the insult. The MAA is apparently exploring what it can do to take the 'Film industry stands united' campaign to the next level.
The 'Kannappa' actor described Nag as a superstar and one of the sweetest persons ever. He described Naga Chaitanya as a sweet person who is also an introvert. The TV host asked him why he doesn't appear to be bothered about Samantha's sentiments and wants to wait only for Nagarjuna's instructions. Vishnu had no cogent answer. He was visibly not prepared for such a pointed question that exposed the hypocrisy of Telugu film industry bodies like the MAA.
What the Telugu media has failed to do, the national media has done. Vishnu shouldn't have appeared on a Delhi-based news channel.
