People Media Factory, the prominent production house in the Telugu film industry, is currently facing a challenging period following a string of box office failures. Consecutive films produced by the banner have failed to make a mark with audiences.
The list of box office duds includes:
1. Phalana Abbayi Phalana Ammayi: This one starred Naga Shaurya in the lead. The film sank at the BO.
2. Takkar: Like the recent 'Viswam', this one was acquired by the banner midway. Starring Siddharth, one of the actors with literally no market in Telugu, this was such a dud.
3. Rama Banam: Starring Gopichand in the lead, this one is at the top among the banner's A-class flops.
4. Bubblegum: Starring debutant Roshan Kanakala in the lead, this rom-com was a supreme flop.
5. Swag: Starring Sree Vishnu in the lead, this recent release didn't do well.
6. Viswam: Producer TG Vishwa Prasad joined this project that was being produced by someone else. And the banner burnt its fingers with the flop.
Teja Sajja-starrer 'Mirai' is one of the biggest movies PMF is making with a small hero. This superhero film will be released in 2025. Meanwhile, it will also enthusiastically release two other small movies: 'Maa Kali' and 'Narudi Brathuku Natana'.
Owing to the spate of commercial flops, PMF is now counting on its tentpole movie, 'The Raja Saab'.
