Anirudh's Repetitive Music Style Faces Criticism

The 'Hunter Vantaar' song from Rajinikanth's 'Vettaiyan' is just a rehash of some of Anirudh Ravichander's recent chartbusters. The song's promo has made music lovers criticize the composer.

"He has just five notes and he has been doing permutations and combinations with them for the last five years," an X user commented. "It is getting repetitive. We need a song that complements the story or movie, not another Superstar tribute. Give us a story-driven song with Anirudh's magic. We all know he can do better," Sowmiya, a music-lover, added.

"Anirudh must come out of his repetitive algorithm-based music that expires four weeks after release. Probably, he would be peaking. This is where composers like Santhosh Narayan stand out in their work," Cycle Jackson remarked.

Anirudh's fans feel that he must do more of romance, rom-coms and feel-good cinema to come out of the commercial cinema trap.

Anirudh's next big release in Telugu is 'Devara', starring Jr NTR in the lead. The 'Fear Song' and 'Chuttamalle' from the album have become huge chartbusters. His BGM for the movie is highly anticipated.
