Rajendra Prasad and Archana have joined hands for a film titled 'Shashtipoorti'. A family drama, the film is helmed by Pravan Prabha.
The news is that a song titled 'Edo Ye Janmalodo' from the movie's album will be rolled out soon. It is composed by the legendary Ilaiyaraaja. Another music legend has written its lyrics: MM Keeravani. This song marks the legendary collaboration of two of the greatest musical exponents in Indian cinema.
This is the sole song written by Keeravani. The other four are penned by Chaitanya Krishna.
Producer-actor Rupesh Chowdary said that the film is going to be a family-oriented drama that raises pertinent issues. "We will be announcing the release date soon," he said, adding that it's so rewarding to have teamed up with legends.
The film stars Rupesh Kumar as the male lead, while Akanksha Singh is his heroine. The 'Nata Kireeti' will be seen in a prominent role, while Archana, 'Kantara' fame Achyut Kumar, Y Vijaya, Subhalekha Sudhakar and others are part of the cast.
Shot by Rami Reddy, 'Shashtipoorti' is edited by Karthika Srinivas. With art direction by Thota Tarani, the dance choreography is by Vrinda. The costumes are designed by Ayesha Maria.
